Dr. Grigoryants completed his Plastic Surgery Residency at the University of Virginia Health Systems in Charlottesville, Virginia. He served as a Fellow at the University of Michigan Hospitals, in the Surgical Critical Care Fellowship program. During his surgical training, Dr. Grigoryants received such prestigious awards as the Raymond F. Morgan 6th Annual Research Award in plastic surgery and the Frederick A. Coller Surgical Society Jobst Award in general surgery. Dr. Grigoryants has given a number of scientific presentations and published in various surgical journals.

Dr. Grigoryants enjoys athletics and play blues/jazz piano during his leisure time. He is fluent in Russian and speaks some Armenian.
